The domes in St. Pete don't exactly look like they are suffering from mold issues.
The Don Cesar, or the Pink Palace as dad would call it......looms large against the blue sky.
Take a left and drive a few blocks to Pass-a-grille beach which requires a parking fee.
There was a craft show going on....live music.....
This guy jumped into my pic as I was snapping....
We enjoyed a shaved ice.....to cool off......I had Mango....I think my sister ordered banana.....
Paradise Grille is an oasis with ATM, bathrooms and food.....
You can see the umbrellas....peeking out from behind the sand dunes.....
Above you can see the bay to the east......
turning your head to the west....the Gulf of Mexico......
It was a glorious day of sunshine.
We did not stay for the sunset. In these temperatures.....you have to take the sun a little at a time. Even only 3 hours with sunscreen 30 my shoulders were pink.....
Summer has arrived in Florida.....get your tan on!

What a fabulous tour of your day - that sea *sighs8 is just so lovely & inviting. I would have chosen the mango ice too as it is a favourite flavour.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to more photos of your lovely weather.

What a fun outing with your sister! I wish my sister and I could do something like that together, but maybe in time. You picked such a beautiful day to go out, as the sky looks so pretty and blue. And yes, be sure to use your sun screen! Did you find any treausres on the beach? I keep thinking the next time I'm at a beach, my focus will be a little different, now that I'm blogging. I'll be looking for the usual, shells and sand dollars, of course, but also drift wood, which I would have walked by without a glance before! Hope you're having a wonderful wekk Lynda
