Valentines Day Wreath

It's time to decorate for V-Day! Today's picture tutorial is on bow-making and decorating a wreath. I purchased the supplies in the clearance section at Hob Lob after Christmas. I knew I wanted a white wreath and pink accents this year to change it up a bit.

To get started choose your wreath and ribbon. Follow the pictures to make a bow:

I use a wire with the paper removed(garbage tie)

For the embellishments I chose a package of KC & Co Vintage Valentines. I distressed the edges with antique linen stain from T!M Holtz and attached to a tag from raspberry cardstock.

I also used black yarn for the tags, a white doily, small flowers and assorted buttons and doo-dads....

On our front door.....

I like the swans in the lake....since swans are all over Lakeland....sort of our mascot

I decoupaged the tags and the vintage valentines

On our white wall with a tad more light....

It did not film as well as it looks in person.....Does that mean I need a new camera...
Or does the operator need more photography lessons....?????

Happy V-day to you! Are you making something special for Valentines?

Now leave me a comment so I know you stopped by......

  1. Hi Lynda, I was here!! :) I really like this wreath! I've never seen any white ones like that before. The bow is my favorite part, I LOVE the ribbon you used, and the bow looks like you purchased it that way. I never would have thought to use a twist tie with the paper removed for the wire. What a great idea! And I also like the vintage cards you used, and the antiquing you did around the edges. I'm sure you'll enjoy looking at it throughout the season. Thanks for sharing it with us. Have a great day!
